Day 5 in the United Kingdom
After we woke up at around 8:30 AM, we walked downstairs and had some complimentary breakfast again at the hotel. We stuffed ourselves with some hot waffles, donuts, orange juice, cereal and coffee. We hadn't gotten ready yet, so we went upstairs to shower and get ready. We took a taxi to the Imperial War Museum, where we got to explore worldwide conflicts throughout history. It didn't take that long-only about 15 minutes. Anyways, when we got there, we saw a lot of cool stuff about the history of warfare. First we visited the Large Exhibits Gallery because it sounded really interesting. It turned out to be a lot of replicas and originals of british cars, tanks, missiles, and airplanes. The planes were hung from the ceiling, just like the Space Museum in the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. They had a lot of hands on activities, and they let you sit in the cars! Jed was excited to sit in a cool old transport car used to transfer supplies to soldiers in the battle, but he couldn't because he was too tall! His head bumped the top of it. He was jealous when Stephen and Scott got to sit in it. After we saw almost everything in that exhibit, we went to another one called the Secret War. This exhibit was kind of boring, but it gave us something to think about. It talked about the use of highly-trained elite forces and why the need for secret agencies are under debate. It also had displays on the weapons used by the elite forces, including the M16 and other powerful weapons. After about four hours we all decided we were tired and hungry, so we went to go grab some lunch. It turns out that there's a lot of cafes in the museum itself. We chose the Kitchen Front Cafe'. We all had some great Chicken Pot Pies, Beef Stew and Red Bean Soup. After that, we went back to the hotel and watched some television. After we got bored of watching Super Nanny and Hell's Kitchen, we wanted to watch a movie. The one we thought was the best was Seven Phsycopaths. The movie was okay, with a lot of shooting and yelling. It was pretty action-packed. At around 8:00 PM, we went to get some more pizza from the same place we got it last time, Prezzo Eastbourne. We got the same pizza because that's the one we liked. After that, we were beat, so we went to sleep in the newly cleaned sheets (housekeeping).
